Khadi Henna & Amla
This special hair dye takes an all natural approach to hair colouration, for a variety of red shades. Khadi Henna & Amla coats each strand in a powerfully pigmented lacquer, that not only colours but conditions hair. Henna has been used to colour hair for thousands of years, and is still used to leave a red colour that can vary from orange to auburn. Here, it works in powerful harmony with Amla, or Indian Gooseberry. Here, it works to intensify the Henna and prevent fading. Equally, it conditions and cares for hair, with a nourishing and volumising effect. Every other ingredient seeks to enhance these factors, for lively shine and vibrancy.
Lawsonia Inermis (Henna), Emblica Officinalis (Amla), Acacia concinna (Shikakai), Terminalia belerica (Bahera), Terminalia chebula (Haritaki), Acacia catechu (Katechu), Azadirachta indica (Neem), Symplocos racemosa (Lodhi), Eclipta Alba (Bhringraj), CI 77499 (Iron Oxide), Rubia cordifolia (Manjistha), Bacopa Monniera (Brahmi), Syzygium cumini (Jamun), Indigofera Tinctoria (Indigo), Santalum album (Chantan, Sandalwood).
Before overall use, a strand test is recommended, as different base colours will take the dye differently. Wash and towel dry your hair, ideally using a natural shampoo, as silicone may interfere with the colour. Towel dry hair and wrap it in a towel, to keep it damp, while you mix the powder with water to make a thick paste. With plastic gloves on and taking care to keep the product off your face, apply thoroughly to your hair, ensuring even coverage. Use a plastic wrap, shower cap or towel to retain warmth. Leave on for thirty minutes to two hours, and thoroughly rinse off.
